Owner & Head Cidermaker

Drinking my first cider at La Familiy Cider

I have lived the vast majority of my life in the Willamette Valley region of Oregon. I truly love this area and I can't imagine myself living anywhere else. I am very fortunate that I just happen to live in a great apple growing area. I started making cider when I was 21, and it was truly awful, but my roommates and I still drank it anyway. Over the years before starting Heartland Ciderworks I learned a lot about cidermaking and apples. In late 2021 I started working at Bauman's Cider Co in Gervais, OR. Working there has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and has been integral in starting my business. I technically started Heartland Ciderworks in 2022 when I was 27, but in April 2023 I officially released the first blend, The Avalon, into the market. We'll see where things go from there. I have been helped greatly by my family, and especially by my incredibly supportive wife. I wouldn't be here without them.
